92 viewsIndian stock markets are likely to be hit by pressure as the tensions in the Middle East pushed the crude oil prices higher in the markets. Brent rose toward $94, fuel prices and inflation fears emerged as concerns, as did corporate profitability. Additionally, investors are also responding to U.S. inflation data that was higher than expected which will keep interest rates possibly high for longer in the world.
Foreign investors stayed out of Indian stocks, as geopolitical tensions and worries over energy prices dampened investor mood in the markets. If oil prices stay high, analysts believe industries like aviation, logistics and other oil-dependent industries will suffer further price inflation.
Of course, another one of the notable business developments was Zee Entertainment Enterprises announcing plans to raise approximately ₹2,300 crore for strategic and business initiatives.
