Modi–France Visit: Innovation, Technology and Strategic Partnership in Focus

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started his visit to France where he is expected to meet French President Emmanuel Macron. The highlight of the visit is the co-inauguration of Bharat Innovates 2026 on 14 June in Nice that focuses on the enhancement of the cooperation between India and France in startups, deep technology, innovation, AI and research.

The two leaders are likely to speak on the Indo-Pacific region, developments in artificial intelligence, critical technologies, space cooperation, civil nuclear energy and defence cooperation. The visit is a part of the ongoing strengthening of the Special Global Strategic Partnership between India and France.

The France visit also is significant as PM Modi will attend the G7 Summit later in the week when the world faces critical issues such as Global Economic Challenge, Geopolitical Tension, AI Governance and Energy Security.
