Rahul Gandhi Launches Nationwide Youth Campaign on Paper Leaks and Unemployment

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is rolling out a nationwide outreach program on the issues of paper leaks, irregularities in the exams, delays in recruitment and high youth unemployment. The campaign will start from 17 June, in Kota, followed by Prayagraj on 10 July and then Patna on 11 July and Delhi on 14 July .

According to the Congress the campaign is meant to provide an opportunity to the students, competitive examination aspirants, teachers and youth groups to discuss issues related to examination malpractices, rising costs of examinations and unemployment. The party is also asking for more accountability over the frequent paper leak incidents in examinations and for corrections in the examination system.

The campaign is politically important since it aims to restore Congress' rapport with the youth, including in UP for the next election. Rahul Gandhi is trying to make youth issues central political issues by addressing issues directly related to the youth and students and the job seekers.
