NEET UG 2026 Results Declared: Cut-Off Rises as Competition Intensifies

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET UG 2026 results on 16 July 2026, ending the wait for lakhs of medical aspirants across the country. Candidates can now download their scorecards from the official NTA website and check their All India Rank (AIR), percentile, category rank, and qualifying status.

This year, over 11.2 lakh candidates qualified for the examination, with Aryan Gupta (Punjab) and Panshul Bansal (Haryana) emerging as the joint toppers by scoring 715 out of 720 marks. A total of 19 candidates scored above 700, reflecting the highly competitive nature of this year's examination.

Note: These are the official qualifying cut-offs released by the NTA. The admission cut-off for MBBS seats in government colleges will be higher and will depend on counselling, seat availability, and category.

Experts believe the rise in cut-off marks reflects stronger overall performance and increased competition. Students who have qualified should now prepare for the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) counselling process for the 15% All India Quota, while state authorities will conduct counselling for the 85% state quota seats.

Candidates are advised to keep essential documents such as their scorecard, admit card, identity proof, and certificates ready before counselling begins. Choice filling, document verification, and seat allotment will determine admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical courses.

With the results now declared, the focus shifts from examination to counselling. For thousands of aspiring doctors, the coming weeks will play a decisive role in shaping their medical careers.
