Delhi Metro Stations Closed as CJP Parliament March Triggers Tight Security

Several key Delhi Metro stations were temporarily closed on Sunday as authorities tightened security ahead of the CJP (Cockroach Janta Party) march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, and Seva Teerth Metro stations would remain closed until further notice due to security reasons.

The restrictions were imposed as thousands of protesters gathered in central Delhi to participate in the march. The demonstration is part of the ongoing movement led by CJP, which has gained nationwide attention following the hunger strike and hospitalization of activist Sonam Wangchuk. Protesters continue to demand action on their key issues and have vowed to carry forward the movement peacefully.

Delhi Police deployed heavy security around Parliament, India Gate, and other sensitive locations. Barricades were installed, additional personnel were stationed across the route, and strict monitoring was carried out to prevent any disruption to public order.

DMRC advised commuters to check official updates before travelling and use alternative routes wherever possible. While the authorities described the metro closures as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety, the restrictions caused inconvenience for thousands of daily passengers.
