Fully open-source AI is getting more serious

An Abu Dhabi AI institute released six models with not only the model weights but also training data, code, methodologies and checkpoints. Some models reportedly scale up to 375B parameters.

That's significant because most frontier labs still keep major parts of their training process proprietary.
